I work as a first year advisor with the College of Arts and Science and you don't know how many times students (and their parents!) come in and say "what kind of a job can I get with this??!!??" I love it when students say I don't know what I'm going to do with this, but I love the subject matter. Personally I took chemistry because I love chemistry, not because I wanted to be a chemist. I say that if you love something and you get a degree in something, that you will find your ideal job out there somewhere. I think that we should love what we are studying - we're paying enough for it! It irritates me how every second student wants to be a doctor, why? Do you really have a passion for doctoring people? Or do you just want the bucks? Come on people pick something that you love. You're spending at least 4 years here...you mind as well enjoy it! I love this article it's so true!
