There is, I'm told, an obscure regulation at Cambridge, centuries old, stating that any student who requests one must be served a beer while sitting an exam. I'm guessing that students at Cambridge are, at the very least, entirely likely to follow their instructors' encouragement to finish a draft before handing in their exams.
